The King Billy

Welcome to Sneinton's completely independent real ale pub! We're free of tie and family-owned since 2007 - although the pub's been around since around 1832. We work with smaller breweries both local and distant to bring you the best quality cask, keg and cider from wherever we can get it.

Cask, Craft, Cider...

We've been in CAMRA's Good Beer Guide for 16 years running, with permanent lines committed to Black Iris' Gold-Award winning session pale Snake Eyes, and Oakham's twice-voted Golden Beer of Britain, Citra. We're proud to stock an ever-changing range of guest beers from our friends at Lenton Lane, Pentrich, Liquid Light, Shiny and Neon Raptor - and many names from further afield.

Carolina's TexMex

We're the proud home of Carolina's TexMex, where Mark and Angie (not Carolina) serve fresh tacos, empanadas, croquettes, chilli and nachos, as well as loaded fries. Wednesday to Saturday, 5pm to 9:30pm! Work through the whole menu, and you'll never even notice it's vegan and gluten-free.

Here We Are

We're on the corner of Eyre Street and Manvers Street. We're close to the once-again bustling Sneinton Market, and there's two other pubs in the Good Beer Guide within a minute's walk. If you're feeling crafty, Neon Raptor and Liquid Light have their tap rooms on our doorstep...

Accessibility

The King Billy was built in the 1830s, but we've done our best to make an unfriendly building more accessible. We have ramps to help wheelchair users up our front step, and handles to help with steeper steps. We're more than happy to offer assistance with any needs you may have - just let us know.
