Electronic Gift Card

Description

Gift cards have no expiry date. They are sold on a different website, and won’t be added to your shopping cart here. You get the full amount you pay for. (SquareUp takes a 2.5% transaction fee, but that’s our problem)

Buy someone the promise of normality! Buy yourself a little savings account for beer and crisps! There’s no better way to show someone that you think they’re a loveable boozehound than to get them a King Billy Gift Card!

This is how it works:

  1. The Buy button is a link to the SquareUp website.
  2. On that website, choose an amount and pay for the Gift Card. A 12 digit code will be sent to your email – or the email address of the person who you want to buy it for. (You can send it to yourself, and forward it to someone else later, if you like – or print it out and put it in a card.
  3. There is a link in the email that lets you add your name and/or email address to the Code, to make it easier to look up when you’re in the pub.
  4. When you’re in the pub, just tell us your code, and we can look up your outstanding balance and debit your round to that balance. You don’t have to spend it all in one go, and no money will be wasted. If it doesn’t cover the full round, we’ll just charge you the difference.

I’ve tried it out myself with a ten quid card, and it’s a shockingly simple system!
